Animal Hall

The project proposes a large roof structure that overlooks the river. It is a building housing a variety of animals. The structural grid is rotated at 45 degrees. A small pitch roof is infilled within each structural bay between beams. With this rotation, the structural beams span different lengths, thus requiring different depths. Using this logic, the beams with the longest span has the highest pitch, creating a rhythmically consistent gradients of roof heights.
